PKR now includes PKR Pal, a clever little program installed along with PKR that will manage your PKR installation. PKR Pal downloads game updates in the background (saving you time when you log-in) and also gives you updates on your favourite tournaments. Rest assured we respect your privacy and PKR Pal doesn’t collect any information from your computer.

How can I customise the messages I’m seeing in PKR Pal?

If you only want to see messages about specific tournaments you’re interested in, or if you don’t want messages appearing on your desktop, customising PKR Pal is easy.

First double click on PKR Pal in your system tray (the row of icons on the bottom right of your desktop). If you cannot see the icon, you may have to click a small round button marked with a “<”.

Next, click on the tournaments tab on the top of the pop-up window that appears.

Now, deselect the tick boxes that you’re not interested in receiving information about. For example, if you only leave ‘Premium Freerolls’ selected, you will only see messages about Premium Freeroll tournaments.

You can also decide how long before a tournament starts that PKR Pal will give you a message using the drop down menu at the bottom.

If you deselect all of the boxes, PKR Pal will stop delivering messages altogether.

Once you’re done just close the box and your changes will take effect immediately.

Is PKR Pal spyware or adware?

PKR Pal doesn’t collect information about you or your computer or deliver any third party advertising. Its primary purpose is to allow PKR to perform background updates, meaning the game will run more smoothly and you’ll be able to log-in more quickly when you play. Tournament updates are one feature of PKR Pal that many players find helpful, but we’ve made these easy to control and turn off completely, if you don’t like them. Rest assured we respect your privacy and PKR Pal doesn’t collect any information from your computer.
