Troubleshooting

Software Installation

If you experience any issues while installing your copy of PKR, please contact our 24/7 customer support team. Alternatively, if you would prefer to install the game from a disk, you can request a CD through the PKR website.

Connectivity

Slow or lost connections are a fact of internet life. If you lose your connection while playing, we will automatically give you an opportunity to reconnect before applying the default action which may involve treating you as ‘all-in’ for that hand. After that hand your player will be shown as ‘disconnected’ until you return to the table. Please note, at no point under any circumstances will the system bet money for you when you are disconnected. If you’re having connectivity problems with PKR, but your internet connection appears to be working, then PKR may be being blocked by your firewall. You can fix this by opening up your firewall software and choosing to allow PKR to access the internet. Game Speed & Performance

PKR runs successfully on most PCs manufactured in the last 4 to 5 years. Due to its advanced nature, some older and low-spec PCs can sometimes struggle with the demands placed on it by PKR’s advanced 3d application.

If you experience issues with the speed of play, you can improve the performance of PKR by:

  • Shutting down any unnecessary background programs.
  • Running the ‘Minimum Specification’ version PKR. You can find this in your Start menu under programs > PKR.
  • Updating video and sound card drivers.
  • Optimize settings of your virus scanner (unblocking pkr.exe for example).
  • Shut down any additional downloads that may be running.
  • Run PKR at a lower screen resolution. You can do this be selecting ‘Options’ > ‘Graphics’ > ‘Screen settings’.
  • Turn off additional graphical options like Depth of Field, Bloom and Shadows.
