PKR Hud Display The HUD (Heads-up display) & Game Features

The HUD (heads up display) is the system of buttons and controls that you use to play at PKR. From camera angle selectors to chat options, betting buttons to emote controls, everything you’ll need to play and interact in PKR is just a click away.

Camera Button: Choose from an almost infinite number of views from seven different cameras. To change cameras, click on the up arrow and select the camera angle you’d like.

First Person: View the action from your own character’s point of view by holding the mouse down and dragging to look around – zoom in and out with the mouse wheel.

Overview: Delivers a static image of the table from behind and above the dealer.

Orbit: Set just behind the players, you can rotate a full 360-degrees around the table by left clicking and holding with your pointer on the screen, then moving your mouse to manipulate the camera.

Dynamic: Just like watching live poker on TV, the camera automatically zooms, pans, cuts and changes angles to follow the action.

North, South, East and West: Use these four different cameras to see the table from four different perspectives.

Mood Manager: You can use the Mood manager to control your disposition at the table. By clicking on the button and choosing between ‘Neutral’, ‘Happy’, ‘Casual’, ‘Sad’ and ‘Angry’ you can change your character’s body language, tone of voice and what it says to project your mood to the rest of the table.

Board Cam: The flop is dealt on the board at centre of the table. You can also see the board cards in the Board cam on the left of your screen, just below the Hand cam.

Card Look Cam: PKR has a unique way of showing players their cards. To take a quick peek at your pocket cards you can click on your cards at the table or the ‘Look at cards’ button on the left of the screen. For a longer look just click and hold.

Emote Control: ‘Emotes’ are actions and gestures you can use to express a wide range of thoughts and feelings to other players on the table. Use them to do everything from saying ‘Nice hand!’ to dancing for joy when you’ve won a big one yourself, to flashing a sly smile during play. You can pre-set emotes using the four emote control buttons on the bottom centre of your screen. Just click and use the up arrow to scroll through the list of emote options. Once you’ve set an emote, a graphic will appear on the button below showing you which emote it’s set at – now you can just tap the button to make it happen.
Every time you trigger an emote, a message will appear in the chat box indicating your action. So if you emote ‘Nice hand!’, that message will appear in the chat box as well. You can also trigger emotes by typing them into the chat box with a ‘/’ in front of the text. For example, typing ‘/clap’ will cause your character to ‘clap approvingly’.

Chip Tricks: Even if you’re all thumbs in real life, you can still look like a pro on PKR. Chip tricks work the same way as emotes. Click on the up arrow and hold on the chip tricks button to choose one of your available tricks. Then, every time you click the chip trick button, your character will dazzle the table with their style. You have to earn chip tricks with PKR Points. Purchase them by selecting ‘Me’ from the main menu bar and selecting ‘Tricks’.

Bet Control: The bet control panel allows you to fold, check, call or raise a hand when it’s your turn to act. You can use the three buttons at the top to act quickly or the slider and multiple buttons below to make a larger or more specific bet. The ‘Raise pot’ button allows you to make a bet that is the size of the pot.

Add Chips: In cash games and re-buy tournaments you can top-up by clicking on the ‘More chips’ button on the bottom of the screen.

Chat Window: Click here to show or hide the chat window. Chat Options allow you to click on the arrow to choose what you see in the chat box and the way it looks. You can also choose what information you want to see like the winner and prize of each hand, individual player actions on the turn flop and river and so on.

Hand History: The hand history tab is located on the middle of the right hand edge of the screen. Click either button to show or hide the hand history tab.

Card Control Tab: You can automate certain game-play features here, like always mucking losing hands, never showing uncalled hands and auto-posting blinds.

Table Tab: Information about the game you’re in including the name of your table and the table stakes.

Multi-Tabling: You can play up to 4 games at once on PKR. The game you are currently acting in will appear in large scale on the left of your screen while other games will appear in smaller boxes on the right. To toggle between games just click on the screen you would like to play.

Player Tabs: Action callouts appear on the left side of the screen in descending order (from first to act to last to act). You can play the whole game from the player tabs if you like – they provide a quick reference for who’s on the button and the blinds, whose turn it is to act and who’s bet how much.

Player Notes: You can keep tabs on other players by using player notes (these will only be visible to you). To make a note on a player just click on an opponent’s name when you’re sat at the table, click on the note button and leave a note in the space provided. Once you have left a note a special icon will appear beside that player’s name every time you face them at the tables.
